Flores eager to face former boss Hiddink
Hiddink has been put in charge for the rest of the campaign following Jose Mourinho’s dismissal last week.

And he wants to assess his team properly before deciding to add new players during the January transfer window. First I must be convinced of their quality.
Flores said: “We are always talking about the strikers, and what they do is important, but I’m completely pleased with the defensive line”. However, it would seem the situation this time around is a little more grave. I will see what will happen. Let’s give the kid time to settle and practise with the academy first and then with us. I think with Russian Federation we did a very good European championship [in 2008], we had a lack of one goal [against Slovenia in the playoff] for World Cup qualification and it was a tough group with the opponents we played – even England found that [against Slovenia].
“The loan is a strategical issue which we have to discuss in-house”. If this report is true, then Chelsea have pulled off a major coup by signing a Shakhtar legend whose scored 89 goals for them in over 220 appearances and it’s nearly certain that this move will pay off.
Chelsea are 15th in the Premier League table and Hiddink said that any players who did not have the stomach to fight to turn the season around, starting at home to Watford on Boxing Day, would not be involved. There must be desire to play.
“Hopefully we can go all the way positively”.
This could be a historic result for the Hornets and we expect them to maintain their professional outlook to the game despite how well they have been performing of late. Hiddink later said he hoped to get the Ivorian involved in some way with the team. “The team know that they need to show for the new manager”. But we are ready for the experience.
“Mathematically it’s possible. But this league is a very strong league, especially proven this year by the clubs who are usually not in the top half, such as Leicester, Crystal Palace and Watford”. It wasn’t long ago he was being talked about as a potential Ballon d’Or contender in the years to come, but his confidence has evidently been shaken by this season’s concerning displays. He is a very nice man.
“I don’t want to go into that too much”, said Hiddink when asked to comment on Mourinho feeling betrayed by his players.

With Jose Mourinho now sacked, Hiddink will lead Chelsea to their game against Watford on Saturday.
