Chelsea players must break negative cycle: Hiddink
In this vein, the club’s officials are tracking a host of big-name players to come on to help revitalize their campaign this season.

Branislav Ivanovic believes the appointment of Guus Hiddink provides stability for Chelsea FC at a crucial time. “It’s too early to discuss. Let’s give them time to develop”. The club issued a statement through a series of tweets Wednesday saying they want Drogba to honour his contract for the 2016 Major League Soccer season.
Flores knows the Dutchman well having played under him for three years at Valencia, and expects Chelsea’s under-performing players to respond positively.
Chelsea’s interim manager revealed he told his Blues squad to “look in the mirror” on Tuesday, as he plots the Stamford Bridge club’s path forward from Jose Mourinho’s sacking.
“If they don’t have that desire, then I will say, “Thank you very much, goodbye”.
“But our objective is to have him back for another season, as agreed in his contract”.
Hiddink watched Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Sunderland last weekend, the first match after Mourinho’s departure, from the stands, and was aware of booing directed at certain players whom the fans felt had contributed to Mourinho’s downfall. Though the Canadian club stated its desire to keep hold of Drogba, it also admitted the situation was out of its control.
“He was a good coach but he also had a lot of personal skills with players, he had language skills, he would talk to Michael Ballack in German, Spanish to some of the other players”.
Drogba’s future has been a hot topic since a report in the weekly Jeune Afrique that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich asked him to return.
Despite winning the Premier League title and the Capital One Cup, 2015 was not a year that Chelsea will only remember for the successes.
Zenden, who played for Chelsea between 2001 and 2004 and was an assistant to Rafael Benitez during his stint as manager, told Omnisport: “He’s a well experienced manager”.
Chelsea sit 15th on the Premier league log, with 18 points from 17 games. “The team know they need to show for the new manager”.
