Max Holloway Really Wants Conor McGregor In Ireland
It seems to be the logical choice but there is nothing logical about the UFC at times.

Back before McGregor and Aldo fought, a TMZ cameraman cheekily asked McGregor who would win between the Irishman and our lord and savior in a cagematch. Me fighting him at Vegas, or me fighting him at Croke Park? He could engage Aldo in a rematch, or face deserving challenger Frankie Edgar in a tantalizing affair. “I want them to beg me”. Its possible that Mcgregor may choose to move up yet again just to fight Nick by the end of all this.
Undisputed featherweight champion McGregor, 27, knows that he is the most marketable figure around after taking Jose Aldo’s belt earlier this month.
But he did say: “McGregor, you know the real money fight would be with me”. Throughout the remainder of the year, Combat Press will announce its award winners in multiple categories, covering everything from the action in the cage to the biggest stories surrounding the sport.
McGregor was supposed to face Aldo in UFC 189, but the latter pulled out because of a rib injury. “I’d love to get that fight too”.
McGregor is expected now to confirm his decision over what weight division he will fight in after the festive season.
The Dubliner’s dream is to fight lightweight champ Rafael Dos Anjos and become the first man in UFC history to simultaneously hold belts in two divisions.
Fighters like Charles Oliveira and Nate Diaz have expressed interest in fighting the new featherweight champion with Diaz even claiming that UFC matchmaker and Vice President Joe Silva has promised him a bout with the “Notorious” McGregor.

I believe Mcgregor can beat either Diaz or Dos Anjos and will fight both eventually but Diaz needs another win and it would just further set up the fight more so in the future assuming Mcgregor keeps up his current pace. Thus, this could be why Edgar made the following tweets recently, while talking to fans. Jose Aldo didn’t simply overcommit and walk right into the power hand of Conor McGregor (like McGregor predicted he would), he had an “accident”.
