Vladimir Putin Praises Donald Trump
Donald Trump doubled down Friday on his love for Russian President Vladimir Putin, and said there’s “a lot of truth” to earlier comments he made about the USA killing people like Russia.

Joe Scarborough pressed Trump on Putin’s history as “a person who kills journalists, political opponents, and invades countries”.
“He’s running his country and he’s a leader”, Trump said.
“Despite heavy criticisms, this week Donald Trump said it was a great honor” to have Putin compliment him.
TRUMP: Well, I think our country does plenty of killing also, Joe.
Trump: There’s a lot of stupidity going on in the world right now, Joe. A lot of stupidity. “So we don’t have good leadership, and I will say that if, if I get in, things will be a lot different. Japan is killing us”, Trump has said at numerous rallies over the last six months while talking about trade, one of his primary issues.
Finally, when asked whether he would condemn Putin’s alleged brutal tactics, Trump responded: “Sure, absolutely”.
In a freakish heaping of praise that seems to relegate the Cold War to the historic doldrums, Trump and Putin have publicly touted each other’s virtues despite ongoing tensions between their two nations over global crises like Syria, the Ukraine and MH17. “He’s a powerful leader”.
To hear Trump describe it, his administration’s global posture would have echoes of Putin’s: a leader defined by his fortitude, brashness and brinkmanship. Or like Putin, Trump might destroy a city and then rename the main street in that city after himself.
However inelegantly, what Trump was ultimately saying about Putin is that if the United States were held to Russia’s standards, America would fold under the weight of its drone strikes and military action.
Friday morning on MSNBC, Trump returned the favor.
“I think he’s up in the 80s”. In March 2014, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) said of Putin, “That’s what you call a leader”.

If Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump continues his winning streak culminating in his election as the next USA president in November next year, he may receive his warmest congratulations not from Western leaders who have expressed their displeasure at his inflammatory remarks.
