#NotMiAbuela: People aren’t feeling Hillary Clinton’s claims that she’s just
The internet said not-so-fast this week to Hillary Clinton, when her campaign posted a list of seven ways she’s “just like your abuela” – the Spanish word for grandmother.

Hillary is grandmother to 15-month-old Charlotte, and the Clintons’ daughter Chelsea revealed Monday that she’s pregnant with her second child.
This is followed by a reminder of Clinton’s views on vaccines and a GIF of her laughing to herself to show the way the former first lady reacts “when people le faltan el respeto”, or show disrespect. They’re using the hashtag #NotMyAbuela to tell the Clinton she isn’t much like the grandmothers they grew up with.
The post goes on to mention the word “respeto” (Spanish for respect) a few times, paired with numerous GIFs, including one in which Clinton goes after Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump by saying she has one word for him: “Basta!”
Then, not long after, the article suddenly featured a mere 7 ways Hillary Clinton was just like my abuela.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign on social media has expanded to include blog posts written by content strategists and a plethora of hashtags.
Another Twitter user, Laura Cristal Magaña, wrote: “Abuela couldn’t visit me in U.S. because she didn’t have ‘papers;’ #NotMyAbuela #notmiabuela”.
Did Hilary Clinton take it too far? I made you some tea.

Clinton’s director of Latino outreach, Lorella Praeli, was the one who responded to this most recent dust-up, according to the New York Times. Does Hillary Clinton know that both my abuelas are en el cielo?
