“I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love”.
However she broke the news on Christmas Eve that the dates would be put on hold – saying they would be rescheduled – and asking fans to hold on to their tickets.
The 2016 leg of the tour was scheduled to start in Denver on January 9, and continue until the end of June. “It breaks my heart to inform you in that I’m forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring”.
Thursday afternoon on Twitter Jackson wrote, “Hey you guys…”
The singer’s statement asked for prayers of support and said no further details on her medical condition would be revealed. Please hold on to your ticket.
The tour, supporting her 11th album, “Unbreakable”, was to stop at Consol Energy Center on February 6. She added that there would be “no further comment” and ended the post with “Gon’ b alright”.
The death of the “King of Pop” had led Janet Jackson to retreat from the public eye, although she returned with a global tour in 2011.
