Raiders Defeat Chargers in Overtime
Derek Carr threw a touchdown pass and led the winning overtime drive for the Raiders (7-8), who could be moving to the Los Angeles area after the season. And third of all, this was the last game in that stadium for first or second ballot Hall of Fame cornerback CHARLES WOODSON, who will be retiring officially after next week’s season finale versus the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

Running back Latavius Murray moved past that mark on a 3-yard run in the second quarter Thursday and is Oakland’s first player to crack the century mark since Darren McFadden in 2010.
The Raiders eventually capitalized with a go-ahead touchdown pass from quarterback Derek Carr to wide receiver Michael Crabtree in the fourth quarter. He then opened up to Raider Nation. Instead the play went for a 3-yard loss.
It wasn’t pretty. Sloppy play, mounting injuries and flags everywhere made for a somewhat ugly football game on Thursday night. “He’s a great Raider”. Woodson has picked off Rivers just once before, but rest-assured he will be looking for his second one tonight.
Somehow, they may have been the ugliest game the San Diego Chargers have played all season long.
San Diego’s Kendall Reyes got his hands up to bat down a pass at the line and then corralled the ball out of the air.
With the league limiting Los Angeles to no more than two teams, the Rams are seen as having the most financial wherewithal, while the Chargers have the most clout among owners, said Robert Boland, a former player agent who teaches sports business at Ohio University.
On first down, Carr hit Crabtree in the left corner of the end zone, giving Oakland an 18-17 lead with 4:42 left. Seth Roberts follows with a two-point conversion to make it a three-point game.
That forced a 53-yard field goal that Josh Lambo made. Woodson got a loud ovation as he was introduced last with the defensive starters and was the only Oakland captain for the pregame coin toss. The Chargers were unable to gain a first down as the Raiders held on for the victory.
Some fans came with “Stay in Oakland” signs in hopes that the team does not leave the Bay Area for the second time.
The Chargers appeared to have a win in store for them since they led throughout most of the game.

The Chargers led 17-12 and had the ball at their 38 with under six minutes left when Rivers completed a short pass to tight end. It also doubled as quite possibly the final game in Oakland, with the Silver and Black eyeing a possible relocation to the Los Angeles market. The Chargers will travel to Denver in an attempt to play spoiler for the Broncos. They just said, “We need somebody, ‘ so I said, ‘If you need me, I’m ready to go.’ Just let me know what you need me to do.'” In his regular job, Inman started for the injured Stevie Johnson and caught eight passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. But after they failed to advance, a television replay appeal wiping out a touchdown catch, Lambo missed a 48-yard field goal try and San Diego lost a chance to boost the lead.
