Looking at J.J. Abrams Star Wars: The Force Awakens objectively, the film has some significant screenplay problems with the most notable being that it in many ways mirrors the plot of Star Wars: A New Hope.

“The Force Awakens'” massive domestic earnings were augmented by another $41.3 million that the film netted at the foreign box office on Tuesday, powering its global haul to $689.4 million worldwide. For one because it’s already out and most people have seen it, and for another because it’s not the kind of movie that feels like it needs a review.
Lucasfilm Director/producer/screenwriter J.J. Abrams and his screenwriting partner Lawrence Kasdan on the set of “The Force Awakens”.
“Star Wars had the greatest villain in cinema history”.
Having watched all the six previous movies in the series, Srikanth S tells us, “I was beside myself with excitement when I saw a life size installation of a TIE fighter (villainous fighters of The Empire) while at Changi Airport in Singapore recently”.
“It can be harrowing emotionally because your heart goes out to these children but it’s also very uplifting”.
From the beginning of the film, with the classic scrawl which everyone cheered, until the cliffhanging end, everyone seemed enthralled with the new movie. Ridley is slated to return as Rey in Episode VIII along with Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, among other returning and new characters.
Disney are said to have chose to create a “legacy pay scale” for the original trilogy stars, while newcomers would get much less on a general pay scale.
Abrams will still cast a Supreme Leader Snoke-sized shadow over the two remaining installments of the new “Star Wars” trilogy as a producer.
The next movie is only 519 days away.
