Which doesn’t mean Rey isn’t Luke’s daughter. This also helps explain why Rey can use The Force (as she already had prior training). Kylo (or should we say Ben?) has close ties to certain people we’ve come to know and love over the past few decades in the Stars Wars world, and the struggles he encounters in The Force Awakens make him a unique character. Maybe this is why Han and Leia are no longer together, because Han did not want his son to be given over to a Dark Lord of the Dark Side in Supreme Leader Snoke, and he and Leia’s marriage fractured because of this disagreement. She is undoubtedly the hero of this new trilogy, and in keeping with the tradition of Luke Skywalker, she joins the action of The Force Awakens by leaving her home planet behind with zero familial ties.
