Scrapped Ideas from Star Wars: The Force Awakens
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has been directed, co-produced, and co-written by JJ Abrams and stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Max von Sydow. After all, EA plans to add new weapons, vehicles, heroes and villains through at least four separate expansions, none of which have yet been revealed. Undoubtedly, when The Force Awakens comes out on home video, we’ll see more deleted scenes and be able to trace some of those back to the trailers as well. If you haven’t seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and you’re planning to, you’re not going want to read the rest of this article. But bear in mind that it could go the other way, too. Various websites (and YouTube commenters) have been reporting that at a certain point in the game, when one is fighting (emo) bad guy Kylo Ren, it sounds as if Ren yells out “face me”, followed by “cousin”. Is she Luke Skywalkers daughter? It will continue to dominate the box office over Christmas and doesn’t even open in China until January 9.

We can all agree that spoilers aren’t all that fun. Hopefully it remains that way until Episode VIII releases in 2017. That said, if a plot is exclusively reliant on an unexpected twist like the theory of Kylo Ren and Rey being related, then it’s safe to say the overall arc won’t stand the test of time.
