The Force Awakens is the seventh instalment in the Star Wars film series. “My involvement is going to be as needed, but luckily with people like Rian Johnson working on these next movies, these are not filmmakers who need help so much as they just need to be given a chance to do their thing”, he told Cinema Blend. “I thought it was so unpredictable and uncertain”. How can the movie possibly live up to the hype?
“It’s a tradition and I would do it even if the movie was bad”.
The press has been at work and have been consistently asking Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and director J.J. Abrams about Rian Johnson’s plans for Episode 8. What is your opinion of them?
Presales for Star Wars have reached levels that far outpace blockbusters such as The Hunger Games and The Avengers. Nearly immediately I realized it would be hard to ask things he hasn’t been asked.
