Salvation Army lags behind on red kettle donations

The second Match Day challenge of $48,000 came from businesses, individuals and groups.

All hampers will be distributed before December 21, Bungay said.
Bob Campbell, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Winston-Salem location said outpouring from the community pushed donations over the $350,000 goal.
“Christmas time is supposed to be around 58 degrees; what an incentive”, said Luft.
If you volunteer for the Salvation Army, you can visit hospitals, nursing homes and shelters to bring joy and hope to the less fortunate.
The campaign makes up a fifth of the Salvation Army’s funding, and helps more than two thousand families.
