Kobe Bryant is helping prove that the NBA All-Star, and All-Star games for that matter, are popularity contests. He is listed at 6-foot-6, so it is not surprising that he made it there at some point, but it may come as a bit of a shock because of how late he is into his career, according to Lakers Nation.
Draymond Green, who averaged 14.3 points along with a team-leading 8.8 rebounds and 7.1 assists, had 160,350 votes and is fifth among Western Conference forwards.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Kobe Bryant (24) during the fourth quarter against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Staples Center. Chris Paul had 32 points, five rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Clippers. Defensively, the Clippers yield 101.2 points against the opposing teams.
The 65th NBA All-Star game will be played in Toronto on Feb 14. “It’s about us as a team closing games out and we have to get better at that”.
The Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade has 300,595 votes to lead East guards followed by Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving, who has 138,191 despite just coming back from an injury suffered in last season’s NBA Finals. Julius Randle had 11 points and eight rebounds.
That said, Bryant has altered his approach a bit over the last week.
The Clippers are going for their eighth consecutive win over the Lakers and they should accomplish that feat.
The final game on Christmas features a cross-town rivalry that’s waned in recent years.

Lakers Coach Byron Scott was taken aback when he heard the distance between Bryant and other players. The Lakers have played on Christmas every year since 1998, when their season opener was delayed until February 5 because of a lockout that reduced the schedule to 50 games.
