The Roundup-Jazz 85, Warriors 103

At times it wasn’t pretty, but the Golden State Warriors didn’t need to be flawless as they improved to 27-1 with a 103-85 victory over the Utah Jazz Wednesday night at Oracle Arena. Kevin Durant added 21 points for the Thunder in a rematch of their game at Oklahoma City, when they trounced the Lakers 118-78.

Eagles win to stay in NFC East divison hunt
Taylor’s streak of 222 passes without a pick ended when his deep pass went right to Reynolds with 1:16 remaining. As Washington was celebrating its win, the Eagles were trying to give away a game at home to the Buffalo Bills.

In addition to the recent success that he’s had individually, it’s become more evident just how important he is to this Warriors’ team. “We got tentative. If we make a couple of those (3-pointers), the game gets tighter”.

Last-ditch budget bill passes, Wolf’s bipartisan deal stalls
Voting for the bill in the House were 150 Republicans and 166 Democrats, while 95 Republicans and 18 Democrats opposed it. The House adjourned and planned to return Wednesday, though committee meetings were planned for later Tuesday.

“We just have to play better offensively”.

Sharif invites, Modi accepts, as simple as that
Modi and Sharif talked for about 90 minutes and shared an early evening meal before the Indian leader flew back home. After a months of impasse, the situation between both the countries India and Pakistan seems like thaw.

The Warriors set the tone defensively in the first quarter, when they forced the Jazz into seven turnovers and held them to six field goals on 23 shots (26 percent).

Furthermore, the reigning MVP is now averaging 31.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.1 steals per game. The Warriors finished the night holding their opponent under 42% shooting while connecting at 47% themselves. Hayward averages 18.9 points and 3.2 assists per game.

So far this season, no one has really challenged the Warriors. This win was a flawless example.

Looking back at the 2015 NBA Finals, which was the last time the Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers squared off. After this trade was completed, many NBA analysts and fans ultimately believed that not only would the Cavs win the NBA Finals past year but that they would win fairly easily. The game was close most of the way with 13 lead changes and 11 ties. NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala and regular-season NBA MVP Stephen Curry each scored 25 points. The resiliency of the defense was significant. The Warriors may have lost its first game of the season, but no one has beat them at home in the last 30 games straight, and they are an fantastic 49 out of 50 in Oakland. There were few bail outs of late-clock fouls, and plenty of tightly contested looks for the Jazz as the shot clock expired. But it was on the floor when Leandro Barbosa scored layups that extended the Warriors’ lead to 16 points in the third and 17 points in the fourth.

The bench’s offensive struggles were another worryunderscored by the Bucks game. The Jazz, still hurting in the middle without injured 7-foot-1 center Rudy Gobert, matched the Warriors with 40 rebounds. He turned it around in the fourth quarter as the Jazz made a push. Green returned about two minutes later, also an earlier appearance than usual. It’s impossible to tell, but it seems like they wouldn’t have been able to without Thompson. Rodney Hood added 15 points, while Trey Burke and Alec Burks scored 13 points each. In addition to the greater reliance on blended starter/reserve line-ups, we saw less reliance (zero) on Marreese Speights. Maybe his shot returns, maybe not, but the Warriors can’t keep blowing leads in an attempt to find out. They spread the floor and shot over 40% from downtown, while shooting more than 20 threes.

The Jazz didn’t count on Bogut dominating, but that’s what the former Utah Ute did on this night. He shattered his own National Basketball Association record for 3-pointers with 286 previous year and is on pace to break it again with 397 for this season. The Cavs will have the Warriors’ full attention, not just for their quality play but also for their less than honorific comments about the Warriors’ title.

Friday’s game will be their first since then and their first of two regular-season meetings this season. Every opponent seemingly gets up for the Warriors.
