NAB spokesperson Renee Roberts predicted that shoppers will use ATMs, EFTPOS, debit and credit cards more than 6.6 million times on Boxing Day.

Newcastle city centre’s high street stores are also expected to be very busy, including Eldon Square, Northumberland Street and the Grey’s Monument area.
