The ministry urged the U.S.to adopt measures “immediately” to prevent “such risky actions”.
Repeated U.S. provocations have fueled tensions in the South China Sea, doing a disservice to regional efforts for peace and stability in the waters and undermining efforts to resolve the maritime disputes between some countries and China through dialogue and negotiation.

The U.S. conducts freedom of navigation missions near the seven artificial islands that China has built up in the Spratly Island chain that are meant to signal that they are in global waters worldwide waters.
This week, Australia said one of its military surveillance planes had flown near disputed areas of the South China Sea.
U.S. Navy Commander Bill Urban said the Navy regularly conducts training missions in the region.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has linked building islands in the South China Sea to national pride, which is at the center of the nation’s resurgence as a military power.
China complained the plane flew within 2 nautical miles of the reef, a U.S. defense official said on condition of anonymity. “The situation in the South China Sea is essentially stable overall”, he said.
Taiwan’s representative office in the US said the remarks shows US Congress support Taiwan as a peacemaker in the South China Sea.
In October, the US sent a warship into the region as part of a direct challenge to China’s territorial claims.
