Giudice has been in prison since January. She is not in a halfway house, nor will she be reporting to one.

Gia welcomed her mother home on Twitter, writing, “Welcome back”. They admitted hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitting phony loan applications to get some $5 million in mortgages and construction loans.

The family will spend Christmas together before Joe starts his own prison sentence.

Us Weekly stated that the couple’s sentences were taken aback for their daughter’s sake. Because Joe, who was born in Italy, never became an American citizen, he could be forced to leave the country, as fraud is one of the crimes that are grounds for deportation.
