Raiders’ supporting cast comes through to send Charles Woodson out a victor
With Woodson’s speech, the Raiders were able to pull off an overtime win with Sebastian Janikowski kicking a 31-yard field goal that sealed the game. The Raiders improved to 7-8 with their win while the Chargers fell to 4-11.

While Thursday might’ve been the Raiders last game in Oakland – owner Mark Davis has eyes on relocating to the Los Angeles market – fan and player focus was on sending Woodson out on a high note. NOT ONE. And yet, they still managed to take the game to overtime.
As Christmas Eve stretched into overtime for the Chargers and Raiders, Bolts wide receiver Dontrelle Inman was playing safety, so beaten up was the San Diego defense.

Charles Woodson’s time in Oakland at the O.co Coliseum has come to an finish. Nobody knows how the picture will look in 2016, but with one game left one thing is certain, the exciting Raiders are back and are on the verge of becoming a winning team.
“I’m just ecstatic to be part of the C-Wood era”, Roberts said. “The crowd was just awesome”.
But because of a couple of big turnaround plays in the fourth quarter and a nice drive to start overtime, the Raiders came away with a 23-20 victory over San Diego to sweep their AFC rivals in a season for the first time since 2010.
The Raiders eventually capitalized with a go-ahead touchdown pass from quarterback Derek Carr to wide receiver Michael Crabtree in the fourth quarter.
Rivers completed 31 of 49 passes for 277 yards and one touchdown. “And it doesn’t make it any easier on us to lose another one like that”. The offensive line remains astonishingly injury-prone, with three more starters exiting Thursday’s game. Instead, Woodson tucked the ball and took a three-yard loss. However, Oakland linebacker Malcolm Smith forced a fumble, and defensive end Benson Mayowa recovered it and returned 41 yards to the 3. I think (Charles) has done a great job of setting that example all year long. I just want to let you know how much that means to me and my family. But on the play, the Raiders’ Khalil Mack was called for defensive holding, and San Diego coach Mike McCoy took points off the board to accept the penalty and take the automatic first down at the 30. This is bigger than me, it’s bigger than you, but it’s not bigger than us.
The Chargers took a 53-yard field goal off the scoreboard when an Oakland penalty gave their drive new life.
The next play, Rivers went deep to Ladarius Green for an apparent touchdown, but a replay review ruled it incomplete for hitting the ground.
Facing second-and-5 from Oakland’s 36, Carr tried to hit fullback Marcel Reece with a short pass, but defensive end Kendall Reyes deflected the ball at the line of scrimmage and made a diving interception.

San Diego rookie Josh Lambo replied with a 47-yard field goal that put the Chargers ahead 17-10 at half-time.
