Odell Beckham’s Suspension Upheld
Wing characterized it as “a legitimate threat” that started when Beckham offered his hand and the bat-wielding Panther refused to shake it. All NFL player fine money is donated to the NFL Foundation, which assists former players in need through the NFL Player Care Foundation and the NFLPA’s Player Assistance Trust. The league in particular cited a helmet-to-helmet hit that Beckham delivered to Norman at the end of a play on which another Giants player was tackled. You can’t sit back and play zone, dropping, playing Cover-2 for half the game and say you’re locking people up. “Regardless of the outcome of my appeal, I apologize for my actions on Sunday”.

The saga of Odell Beckham’s stunning fall from grace (if I could engage in a bit of hyperbole for a second) remains the most talked-about storyline in the National Football League during Week 16. His team is in contention through Christmas and he encouraged his players to rely on each other, on both offense and defense, to find a way to bounce back from a last-second loss to the unbeaten Panthers.
Beckham issued a written apology after losing his appeal-an apology that didn’t mention Josh Norman at all.
Beckham had previously claimed that some Panthers players threatened him and called him slurs, something that Panthers coach Ron Rivera denies.
It could also mean Hakeem Nicks steps into a larger role after having just one catch in each of the past four games after returning to the Giants on November 17. I love going against him each time we get to play him.
“Beckham certainly was wrong, and we said he was wrong from Day 1”. “We’re going to do everything we can to control those guys”.
He went on to say Beckham’s been dealing with taunts about his sexuality for much of the season.
Beckham and the man exchanged words, the punter said.
If the New York Giants’ playoff hopes are still alive when they take the field Sunday night in Minnesota, they will have to upset the Vikings without their most explosive player.
NOTE: The Giants also added wide receiver Julian Talley to their practice squad.
The suspension was imposed by NFL Vice President of Football Operations Merton Hanks, who ruled that Beckham’s actions placed his opponents at unnecessary risk of injury and should have been avoided. “They had spoken to the players”, Blandino said.
“It was there. It was present in the situation, so I guess…”, Wing said.

Since then, the Panthers have said they will no longer bring the bat onto the field before games. Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders, now an analyst for the league-owned NFL Network, told SiriusXM satellite radio that Beckham was subjected to insults about his sexuality. “I do have some problems with some of the things they’ve done this year, but that will be addressed between Dean and myself at a later date”, Quirk said.
