Modi’s Lahore visit good omen: Khurshid Shah
This is the first visit of Prime Minister Modi to Pakistan after assuming the office.

“Modi and others in the government should steadfastly improve relationship with Pakistan and get rid of terrorism, which has been an issue between both the countries”, Advani told reporters in Gandhinagar when his reaction was sought on Lahore touchdown. But given that Mr Modi’s address to the Afghan parliament included urging closer cooperation between India, Pakistan and others, there are grounds for rare levels of optimism.
State BJP today welcomed the surprise visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Pakistan saying his recent visits shows his honest commitment to bring peace in the Indian sub-continent and the world.

While this return to engagement is good for the citizens of India and Pakistan, it is also a positive development from the perspective of the Gulf countries.
