Looking for Santa Claus? NORAD is Here to Help
Microsoft once again partnered with the North American Aerospace Defense Command on an interactive website at noradsanta.org where Santa s reindeer-drawn sleigh can be seen making its way over countries around the world.

AND LAST YEAR: The website attracted more than 19.5 million unique visitors in December, the Facebook page drew 1.45 million “likes” and the Twitter feed had 146,000 followers. Its website spells out this critical mission although it neglects to mention that it also tracks Santa Claus.
“We have 1,500 volunteers who have signed up to volunteer on the 24th in shifts for 23 hours”, said Major Jennifer Stadnick, a senior member of the NORAD Tracks Santa Program. Instead of calls ringing to Santa, the phone number rang the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD), what was to become the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
This year marks the 60th year that NORAD has been providing Santa Tracking information to the public.
In its 60th year, NORAD is expecting to field about 125,000 calls from around the world. The misdirected call was the result of the child reversing two numbers of a Santa Line phone number printed in a Sears advertisement, according to the National Archives.
The Norad Santa Tracker control room is now based at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs.
Google has been tracking Santa for 11 years and its site is full of games to keep the little ones busy before Santa arrives. Other than the primary Santa tracker, which is also available on iOS, Android, and Windows 10, it has numerous other features as well.
On Christmas Eve, 1955, Colonel Harry Shoup began receiving calls from kids asking to speak with Santa Claus. NORAD monitors the skies above North America for attacks and UFOs.

Tonight, Santa Claus is under the watchful eyes of norad. First lady Michelle Obama would be voluntary.
