4 dead after tornadoes sweep through Texas
Four people died in a storm-related incident in Texas near where a tornado touched down on Saturday, bringing the death toll from tornadoes and flooding this week in the southern United States to 22, according to officials and local media.

The heavy rainfall prompted Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley to declare a state of emergency for counties in the state. One of the reported tornadoes was near Byars, Oklahoma.
In southeastern Alabama, residents of Elba are anxiously waiting to see what will happen to the Pea River. The two additional deaths in Bexar County were originally considered missing.
“When we get an inch or two, people panic”, he said.
Search teams combed damaged homes and businesses for people still missing, a hunt made complicated because so many had left for the holidays.
There was also damage to a church in Glenn Heights, a neighborhood in Ovilla, and homes in DeSoto, Jenkins said.
The storms are part of a series of tornadoes ravaging the south this week.
A spokesman for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said 54 people were injured in the state and more than 400 homes were damaged.
