Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice was released Wednesday morning from prison after serving her 11.5-month sentence for fraud charges.
According to Bravo, Leonard Jr. arrived at Connecticut’s Danbury Federal Correctional Institution at 5 a.m.to pick up Giudice.
Teresa was reportedly picked up from jail by her lawyer James Leonard because her husband Joe Giudice lost his driver’s license after pleading guilty to attempting to obtain a license under his brother’s identity. “She’s going to get to spend Christmas with her family and get back to her life”. “He had a big red bow put on the top of it”.
Her husband Joe Giudice was also convicted of bankruptcy fraud, and is expected to begin his 41-month prison sentence in March.
Giudice, 43, and the second highest paid star in the Bravo “Housewives” franchise, apparently did some primping in a prison bathroom, using make-up products purchased from the prison commissary, People and TMZ reported.
She was greeted by heartwarming handwritten signs hanging on the mansion’s front door, one of which read, “We Missed You”. Teresa’s attorney later shared he had driven the two oldest daughters to school after a brief reunion.
The star is technically free from been confined in the prison, but she will still be under home confinement until February 5.
A Federal judge allowed the parents to serve in tandem so one was present with their children.
Just before being sprung, Teresa fixed herself up in the ladies room at the prison, where she did her makeup, hair, and traded her jumpsuit for a nice set of clothes.
