Israel says Palestinian killed as he tries to stab policemen
Reports of clashes in Silwad came after another day of violence in the West Bank which saw two Palestinians shot after alleged attempted attacks.

Hammad was shot and killed Friday when she sped toward Israeli forces, police spokeswoman said.
Israeli police says officers have shot dead a Palestinian who tried to stab them in Jerusalem.
The people who brought the 56-year-old man to the hospital said he was shot for no reason, Palestinian Health Ministry spokesman Taref Ashour said.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), 85 percent of the Palestinians who were killed by Israeli troops since the beginning of violence were “extra-judicially executed”.
Only two states say their National Guard operations could provide facilities to house unaccompanied immigrant children following a request for options from the government.
Officers approached a man they said was following Jewish worshippers, spokeswoman Luba Samri said, and asked to see his identification papers.
The PPS said Israeli forces have resorted to “direct shooting and killing” instead of detaining Palestinians who are suspected of carrying out attacks on Israeli targets.
The Palestinians disputed the Israeli military’s account of the incident. Palestinians say the violence stems from frustration at almost five decades of Israeli military rule.
The ministry said Hani Wahdan, 22, was killed as he was throwing stones near the Nahal Oz crossing point.
Israeli soldiers used live rounds, rubber bullets and teargas on hundreds of Palestinians at the protest.
One Palestinian witness, Suhail Hamed, 39, said the police opened fire when the vehicle was 150 meters (yards) away from them.
