Peyton Manning inactive, Brock Osweiler to start in Week 16
Denver Broncos safeties T.J. Ward (ankle) and Darian Stewart (hamstring) have been listed as questionable to play in Monday night’s game agains the Cincinnati Bengals according to the team’s final injury report, issued Saturday.

Manning will miss his sixth game because of a torn plantar fascia in his left foot. “But so long as Osweiler remains healthy and continues to play reasonably well, it’s time to consider that Manning may have played his last down with the Broncos”.
Manning’s health has been a major concern for the Broncos this season and after resuming limited practice last week, he had to miss all of Friday’s practice after suffering a setback physically. He was ruled out against the Steelers. “That’s what I’m doing right now”, said Brock Osweiler, Denver Broncos quarterback.
Denver (10-4) hosts the Cincinnati Bengals (11-3).
Manning scaled back his practice regimen following what Kubiak described as a “hiccup” on December 18. “I’m not anxious about it. It’s just one of those things that happens in the game of football and I’ll be fine come Monday night”.
Manning’s workout schedule did not change this week, but he had said Wednesday that Saturday’s workout was “big” – which some interpreted as more important, when Kubiak actually meant it would be a full conditioning workout in addition to throwing. “I’m going to go see the doctor this afternoon and hopefully we can get it fixed”. “You get a chance to play for something”. The Broncos close the season with home games against the Bengals and Chargers.
“I need to shut up”, Kubiak said Saturday after the session, via ProFootballTalk.
“Let’s go from there”, Kubiak said. Harris and Talib were both named to the Pro Bowl this week because of their typical lockdown work in man-to-man coverage on opposing receivers, but last week they were beaten in their matchups with Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant, with Brown becoming the first receiver to score at Harris’ expense since November 24, 2013.

As it stands, the Broncos have an outside shot to land a first-round bye.
