Trump Questions If Putin Killed Reporters: ‘I Don’t Think It’s Been Proven’
Trump embraced Putin’s praise as a “great honor”.

Much as Putin has muzzled free expression in the media, marginalized political opponents and scrapped contested elections, Trump has blithely endorsed shutting down parts of the Internet, praised President Franklin D. Roosevelt for interning Japanese Americans during World War II and openly contemplated registering Muslims in America. “He has always denied it. You’re supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, at least in our country”. “Obviously that would be a concern, would it not?” “He’s running his country and at least he’s a leader, unlike what we have in this country”.
Speaking to ABC’s George Stephanopolous on Sunday, the Republican said that it would be “despicable” if Putin had been behind the murders of reporters in Russian Federation, but added that he had “never seen any information or any proof”.
“Well, I think our country does plenty of killing also, Joe, so, you know”, Trump said. Politkovskaya, a prominent investigative journalist and human rights activist, was killed on October 7, 2006. Lot of killing going on, a lot of stupidity, and that’s the way it is. “And that’s the way it is”. We spent $2 trillion, OK, thousands of hundreds of people killed. Trump addressed the issue on ABCs “This Week” on Sunday.
“The thing that is so concerning about Mr. Trump’s compliments of Vladimir Putin is Vladimir Putin has slaughtered his own, murdered his own people, including people I knew”, McCain told Concord News Radio in a weekend interview.
Trump’s rivals, recognizing Trump’s ridiculous comments for what they were, saw an opportunity. “And I’m saying it would be a bad thing if it were true”.
Donald Trump really does like Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“It would be very nice if we got along with Russian Federation”. Not us bear the full cost, sometimes? You know why Iran has been backed by us?
On Sunday, Republican presidential candidate and business magnate Donald Trump defended Russian president Vladimir Putin’s alleged record of assassinating journalists. Trump holds the lead in opinion polls in his bid for the Republican nomination and was dubbed the “absolute leader” in the race by Putin on December 17.
Putin in his speech also mentioned another global hotspot, Syria, where Russian Federation in September began a campaign of air strikes against “terrorists” to support the regime of ally Bashar al-Assad in Damascus.
The Committee to Protect Journalists lists 56 journalists killed in the course of their work since 1993, including many who reported on the Chechen conflict that dominated the first years of Putin’s presidency.

“We proceed from only one thing, which is we can not abandon the people who live in the southeast of the country to nationalists to eat them up”, Putin told the state-run Rossia television network.
