If it’s familiar however, that’s because it’s the title of a novel in Star Wars’ Expanded Universe (now called Legends). That topped the previous record of $24.6 million set by Sherlock Holmes in 2009. It will open there on January 9. While certainly an appropriate name, it’s far darker and more cynical than the hopeful title of “The Force Awakens”.

Disney is making room at its theme parks to incorporate the robots, droids & other-worldy creatures of the Show star War films in that came to life on movie screens in 1977.
