Taking ties with Pakistan forward has been most hard, says Swaraj
“Indian sailors are safe”, Ms Swaraj said in series of tweets.

She said that it has always been the Indian government’s effort to maintain relations with the neighbouring countries, including Pakistan.
Declaring that “war is not an option”, India today said it had made a decision to hold dialogue with Pakistan as it is the only way to remove “the shadow of terrorism”.
The editorial said that given the repercussions of the Mumbai carnage, “there is a need for the two countries to activate the “anti-terrorism institutional mechanism” set up by former president Pervez Musharraf and former Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh at Havana on September 16, 2006″.
“With Russia we have deepened an already robust strategic partnership”. “By calling for an inclusive Nepal and urging a political solution to long pending political problems, we are committed to unity, peace and stability of Nepal which will create a more durable foundation for our bilateral relations to prosper”, she said. “As for Japan, all of you would have recognised the significance of the bullet train understanding as much as the conclusion of the civil nuclear cooperation negotiations”, she said. Apart from other issues in the region, relationship with Nepal has been disastrous. “Our views on key global issues – be it on trade, climate change, terrorism or maritime security – are also being given greater consideration”, she said.
India would continue to take all necessary steps to safeguard the nation’s security and safety of all citizens, she said. “It is heartening that now we are getting support from many countries and we are hopeful that the CCIT resolution would be adopted in the United Nations soon”, she said.
Analysts, however, have pointed out that though Ms. Swaraj counted achievements for the government in the neighbourhood, the last 18 months have not been smooth for India’s neighbourhood affairs.

“But we want to make it clear, our Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) has made it clear that talks and terror can’t go together”.
