Thunder Thumping: OKC Gets To 20 Wins After Drilling Lakers
Westbrook led the Thunder in scoring with 23 points to go with his eight rebounds and eight assists. They also blew out the Lakers again, this one coming on the heels of a 118-78 beatdown Saturday in Oklahoma City.

Bryant, 37, is the leading scorer in NBA All-Star Game history with 280 points and he ranks second in All-Star appearances behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 19.
He dropped 22 points apiece against the Milwaukee Bucks and Houston Rockets last week, and scored a season-high 31 points to help lead the Lakers to a road win against the Nuggets. Bryant had a three-point play, then drained a three-pointer before setting up No. 1 draft pick D’Angelo Russell for a go-ahead three-pointer that capped the rally with 7:18 left in the second quarter. He may be the new face of the National Basketball Association but Bryant’s lasts season is a bigger deal and rightfully so. “That third quarter, they just blitzed us, man. They got ahead with their athleticism and their speed and their length, and we we couldn’t get the game under control”.
It was one of the Thunder’s most complete games of the season though it came against the Western Conference’s worst team.
Unfortunately for the Lakers, that also means they aren’t going anywhere either this year and only have a rebuild to look forward to next year. The Lakers starters combined for 39 points, while the starters for the Thunder combined for 82 points.
The Thunder outscored the Lakers 58-18 in the paint through the first three quarters.
“I was looking forward to it”, Durant said of the matchup with Bryant. Julius Randle didn’t play Wednesday due to a tweaked ankle that he injured against the Nuggets, and Swaggy P sat this one out with an illness. The Clippers have won seven straight in the series by an average of 24.6 as Blake Griffin has put up 26.7 points per game and shot 61.3 percent.
Kobe Bryant is about to mark another memory off on his long list of goodbyes as he suits up for his Christmas swan song.

In recent memory, the Clippers have been the stronger team in terms of talent and have gotten to the playoffs regularly, while the Lakers have missed out on the post season and are now going through a season of rebuilding.
