Snap Judgments: Jets upend Patriots in overtime
New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola and safeties Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung have been ruled out for Sunday game’s against the New York Jets, ESPN reported.

Tom Brady engineered a fourth quarter drive to tie the game in the fourth quarter, but never got the chance to possess the ball in overtime after the Patriots elected to kick off in the extra session. But the coin toss snafu may overshadow the truly impressive performance put together by the Jets defense.
That two-game losing streak earlier this season proved that there were some holes in the Patriots seemingly impenetrable armor and while New England has gotten back on track recently, the injury bug is still a problem. Tom Brady completed 23 of 35 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Patriots. NY led New England 10-3 at halftime. Neither Amendola nor Julian Edelman will play Sunday, so Brandon LaFell and Keshawn Martin are in line to be the Patriots’ top two receivers Sunday against the Jets. Brady engineered a game-tying drive, converting two separate fourth down attempts in the final four minutes. But wideout Quincy Enunwa, whom Fitzpatrick hit in stride, dropped it. Enunwa then made up for it in overtime, when he caught a 48-yard pass to set up the game-winner.
Aim for 5th consecutive win…In past 4, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has passed for 1,229 yards with 10 TDs vs. 1 INT for 105.7 rating. “That’s why when you practice against a team like New Orleans or as we have in the past Tampa or Philly or whoever it happened to be, you get exposure to other guys in training camp, you get exposure to other types of players in preseason games”. On their second series, the Jets moved 79 yards in 13 plays to a 30-yard field goal by Bullock with 3:19 left in the first quarter. Marshall now has 100 catches, making him the first player in National Football League history with six 100-catch seasons.

New England answered, somewhat, with a 44-yard field goal by Gostkowski. Jabaal Sheard sacked Fitzpatrick and the ball popped loose. On third-and-3 from the NY 41, Marshall took a pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick and converted the first down midway through the opening quarter.
