Penalty decisions again frustrate Pulis in West Brom defeat
“Having had the experience over the years managing this period, it’s very important the players get their rest but it’s also very important that you keep their mindset in the right order”.

Ki Sung-Yeung’s ninth minute goal consigned West Bromwich Albion to back-to-back defeats and secured Swansea’s first win in eight matches.
The win lifts Swansea – who are now being coached by caretaker manager Alan Curtis – to within two points of the Baggies.
West Brom, bidding to avoid a third successive defeat, will be without suspended pair James McClean and Salomon Rondon, as they are both one game into three-match bans following the red cards they received in the 2-1 loss to AFC Bournemouth in the side’s last home outing.
The goal was the 26-year-old Ki’s first Premier League goal of the season.
“I felt at half-time we didn’t get too much of the ball so I brought Yo (Yohan Cabaye) on and I thought a few moments between him and Punch (Jason Puncheon) just showed the level of quality that Bournemouth need perhaps going forward”.
Pardew said: “For us, we could have been a little bit better but we will take the point, it moves us up a place, fifth in the Premier League, the unbeaten run goes on and we go into the next game”.
West Brom saw two strong penalty shouts turned down either side of the interval, but were perhaps lucky not to see Callum McManaman dismissed for a clash with Angel Rangel after the second of the appeals.
“The big disappointment is I’ve just watched the video there and it’s two penalties”, Pulis protested after the game.
There were a number of positive signs for the Welsh club to draw on from their goalless draw at home to West Ham United last weekend as they returned to their principle of taking the game to the opposition and playing neat passing, attacking football.
“It’ll be ebb and flow, we’ve not reached the midway point yet”, Pulis said.
The final whistle was greeted with an outpouring of relief from home supporters and Curtis later singled out midfield veteran Leon Britton for praise.
“I think Call’s made the most of it and that’s why it’s not given”, Fletcher said.
