DDCA row: BJP demands apology from Kejriwal; AAP hits back
Contrary to the allegations levelled by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, a Delhi Government enquiry report on the affairs of Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has not even mentioned the name of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Following the recent raid by CBI at the Delhi secretariat, Kejriwal had alleged that it was an attempt by the central government to seize the report that implicated Arun Jaitley with corruption at DDCA.
Though the alleged scam in DDCA dates back to the tenure Jaitley as president of the cricket association, the report does not claim any direct involvement of the finance minister.
Stepping up the attack, AAP leader Ashutosh said the BJP, which had earlier rubbished the commission, was now considering it a “sacred book”.
AAP has also accused the BJP government of stalling the commission’s progress through Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.
The AAP also fielded Ashutosh, Deepak Bajpai – one of the leaders sued by Mr Jaitley for defamation – to counter the BJP’s claims.
“Jaitley should cooperate with the commission of enquiry and stop misusing the LG house”. “If BJP is so confident that he is clean then why is it running away from investigation?” AAP takes strong and swift action on credible evidence. They should take it to a logical conclusion.
It was also revealed during the investigation that there was no record of tenders for most of the contracts issued by the DDCA and many companies that were given contracts for construction and related work were actually owned by the office-bearers of the cricket governing body. “BJP defends corruption and runs away from investigations”. He should come forward and present an example before the nation.

At a press conference, party spokesperson M J Akbar said Kejriwal made use of a report of the probe committee to target Jaitley but it did not name him. He cited the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1952, and said it allowed only a state to order an inquiry, the sources added.
