Southampton have just smashed four, including an absolute screamer, past Arsenal
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes key referee decisions went against his side as they were thrashed 4-0 by Southampton.

Premier League leaders Leicester lost against Liverpool earlier on Boxing Day, which gave the Gunners the chance to leafrog the Foxes. “It is the quality of our performance that counts and we were not good enough to win the game [against Southampton]”.
Petr Cech has urged Arsenal to turn the negative aspects of their humiliating defeat at Southampton into a positive when they host AFC Bournemouth on Monday.
“We were unlucky as well, their first shot on goal went into the bottom corner from the right back and the second goal came after a foul on Koscielny”.
Arsene Wenger acknowledged Southampton were the sharper team as they crushed Arsenal 4-0 yesterday but he also blamed the defeat on bad luck and a second goal that should have been disallowed by referee Jonathan Moss. Have your say in the comments section below.
“We caused them problems on the break and they did not like the pace in behind from me and Sadio [Mane] and we played on that”, Long told BT Sport.
“We are disappointed and frustrated, but there’s only one way to respond in 48 hours”.
Southampton counterpart Ronald Koeman found Wenger’s complaints about his side’s first three goals laughable.
“We didn’t match them physically from the start”.
“But sometimes as well the solution is inside and you have to accept that because we are a club which has always given a chance to players we have educated”.
I don’t think so.
Southampton made four alterations for the north Londoners’ visit and changed tack following last week’s loss to Tottenham, starting at a slower, more methodical tempo as they looked to firm up at the back.
Loic Remy is expected to step into the line-up for the meeting against United, whose 2-0 defeat at Stoke means they are going into the game without a win in seven matches. Obviously when you play against a team which has this type of efficiency in front of goal then it is hard to win games. So we start we three fewer players than we could have done, but in reality we start with 19 because Wilshere, Rosicky and Welbeck are out with long term injuries.
The impressive Long hit the post, but was not to be denied a second when Dusan Tadic set him clear, the Saints forward finishing past Cech to complete a miserable outing for Wenger’s men.
