Hiddink sets treble target for beleaguered Chelsea
“That’s a period all players, not just him, have to overcome, and I think they need time for that”.

Guus Hiddink’s first game in charge of Chelsea ended in an entertaining stalemate as they were held 2-2 by Watford.
Failed spells that followed with Turkey, Anzhi Makhachkala and Netherlands raised questions over whether Hiddink retained the hunger to succeed in top-level management, but the Dutchman says he is already feeling the thrill of his job again.
“I can not have any complaints about him”.
“I am so happy and so proud of the amount of games I have played for this club and at the same time using these games to win trophies and medals”.
Up next for Hiddink’s Chelsea is a crunch battle with out-of-form United at Old Trafford on Monday.
“So at a young age, he was bombarded as one of big talents”.
“Those guys need the cover of experienced players”.
The Premier League champions face Louis van Gaal’s struggling Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday lying 15th in the table, just two points above the relegation zone and 13 adrift of the Champions League qualification places.
The Blues had to come from behind, but will feel they should have claimed all three points as Oscar slipped and sent a potentially match-winning penalty ballooning into the stands with 10 minutes left.
Without Mourinho, who was reluctant to sign a new striker in January, Chelsea may raid the market with Jamie Vardy of Leicester, Alex Teixeira of Shakhtar Donetsk and Jackson Martinez of Atletico Madrid all shaping up as possible targets.
Costa put the Blues in the lead in the 32nd minute and netted the equaliser after Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo had given the visitors the lead.
‘He’s training with us but there’s a difference of being fit and game-fit, ‘ said Hiddink.
“It’s a pity and a setback”.
“It was important the team reacted after going 2-1 down, especially against a defensive and very well organised Watford”.
“I noticed the intensity today, which I liked very much”. Also to finish the chances because we have been playing some good football but not getting the goals we deserve so that is one thing the manager will want to bring into the team.
A boost in spirit from Hiddink’s arrival appeared to be in evidence, though, with Chelsea biting back with a second-half equaliser when before they would likely have folded to bickering and frustration.
The Chelsea crowd, vocal in support of Mourinho last week, were muted on Saturday. “They have several variants on the pitch and we’re expecting a hard match”.

“He’s a very young guy”, Hiddink said. We respect them and their players. He is close to the players and they have confidence in these kind of managers.
