Packers CB Sam Shields to miss Cardinals game
Seattle will be either the No. 5 or 6 seed, depending on next week’s results.

“We had a great opportunity, but unfortunately, we gave that one back and it got out of hand quick”, linebacker Clay Matthews said.
There had been speculation that the Vikings-Packers game scheduled for next Sunday would be flexed to a night game but now it’s been announced: the game has indeed been flexed.
“You take away the run and get them in a one-dimensional game; obviously the score had something to do with that”, said Bruce Arians, coach of the Cardinals.
Green Bay is home against Minnesota in its regular-season finale next Sunday.
The Vikings are getting it done in prime time tonight – big shocker I know! – and they will officially have a chance to get it done in prime time next week as well.
The Packers are already installed as three-point favorites in this game, a surprisingly low number considering how badly Green Bay beat Minnesota earlier in the year and the game being played at Lambeau Field.
But the Cardinals then drove for a TD before intermission and got a fumble and two-play TD drive in the first minute of the second half, making it 24-0 in a total of one minute, 55 seconds of game time.
On the first play from scrimmage in the second half, Green Bay’s James Starks fumbled and Powers recovered at the Packers’ 28. Michael Floyd caught six passes for 111 yards for the Cardinals, who entered the game with the NFL’s No 1-ranked offense. Defensive lineman Mike Daniels reached up and snagged a Carson Palmer screen pass, returning his first career interception to the Arizona 15-yard line. That made it 31-0.
Powers needs to put Aaron Rodgers under pressure and make his throws tough to ensure the Cardinals can lower his morale through interceptions. Freeney, who just recently signed with the team, recorded three sacks on the day and he was constantly wreaking havoc in the backfield. Tyrann Mathieu was lost for the season, but Justin Bethel looks like he will be able to adequately replace the Pro Bowl caliber safety. Rashad Johnson missed his second game in a row with an ankle injury after being listed as questionable.
