VIdeo shows Louisville coach Rick Pitino allegedly flipping off Kentucky fans
Wayne Mason | Pine Mountain Photography Bell County native Maci Morris drives the lane during Kentucky’s victory over Duke. The 15th-ranked Cardinals will attempt to halt their recent woes in this bitter in-state rivalry Saturday when they travel to Rupp Arena to face the 11th-ranked Wildcats. Ohio State led throughout and withstood a second-half rally led by Jamal Murray’s 33-point explosion. It’s a game that five months ago seemed like one where Kentucky would be a solid favorite.

A video surfaced after the game that showed the coach gesturing to the crowd after he said people were “yelling ugly, crude things”, but according to Pitino it wasn’t obscene. Sparked by Akhator, the Wildcats outscored the Blue Devils 38-34 in the paint. It was on the board all week.
“That team, Louisville’s going to do damage and I don’t know how we’ll finish, but they will be one of those teams left standing”.
Okhator listened to her coach’s message. “Let’s be classy, and I expect that’s how they’ll be in this game”. “I had to do well in the paint”.
Ulis, who made four 3-pointers and 7 of 12 from the field, also dished out eight assists and played a team-high 39 minutes.
Louisville scored the first basket before Kentucky scored six points in a row. He added eight assists in the win.
Thompson said the presence of Akhator helped the Wildcats keep and the lead throughout. He has only had a couple of workouts and Calipari has been coy about whether he’ll play Saturday because he’s a work in progress much like the Wildcats. Evelyn was key to the way we started.
Akhator made 8 of 14 shots from the field and the Wildcats shot 48 percent from the floor. It also makes for quite a memory. Down two, Cardinals guard Damion Lee-who led all scorers with 27 points-missed a go-ahead three-pointer with two seconds remaining to hand No. 12 Kentucky the win. The fact that Pitino sent out assistants to face the music – something he’s done a few times this season, including after a loss to Michigan State – is more telling of Pitino’s thin skin than the possible flip off.
“And he never changed his emotion the whole time”, Calipari said when asked about Hawkins’ critical role Saturday.
“We (then) spent two days doing all kind of drills to just loosen them up offensively”, Calipari said.

Calipari built his path toward the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame primarily with an uncommon understanding of how to get players to play together, to play well and to play well together. ” ‘Zay, with him being out, Dominique came in and hit some big 3s, hit two big free throws that probably put the game away for us and I’m happy for him”. Our turnovers, we had some really insane turnovers. The categories give the edge to Calipari, but ultimately I’d say it depends on what you value. Wildcats coach John Calipari entered Saturday’s Kentucky-Louisville rivalry with a 7-1 record against the Cardinals and coach Rick Pitino, the former Kentucky coach during UK’s 1996 NCAA championship season….
