Officials in Belgium have detained a ninth suspect in the November 13 terror attacks in Paris.

After a “thorough interrogation” by federal judicial police, the investigating judge ordered the release of all five, the prosecutor’s office said.
The suspect, a Belgian citizen, was arrested on Tuesday, the Flemish De Standaard newspaper reported, stating that the information was confirmed by the federal prosecutor.
Those contacts allegedly took place between the attacks and a subsequent police shootout in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, in which both Mr. Abaaoud and his niece died, the prosecutor’s office said.
Abdeslam, who is Europe’s most wanted man, called two childhood friends after helping to carry out the 13 November attacks, reports Belgian daily Le Soir.
An armoured vehicle is seen while Belgian special forces patrol during a police raid in central Brussels, Belgium, December 20, 2015, which, according to Belgian media, is in connection with last month’s deadly Paris attack. Authorities said they found no weapons or explosives at either residence, and didn’t identify those detained.
The suspect is believed to have been in contact via telephone with the cousin of the alleged organizer of the attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud.

The individual is expected to appear at a pre-trial hearing to determine whether his detention can be extended. Hundreds of people have also been placed under house arrest across France.
