Titans QB Marcus Mariota out for season with MCL sprain
The Titans have confirmed that Mariota (knee) will be out for Sunday’s game against the Texans. Multiple media outlets also reported Tuesday that Mariota was out for the season.

The injury is similar to one that Mariota sustained to his left knee earlier in the season. “I would listen to where it’s coming from”.
Mariota, the No. 2 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft out of OR, sprained his left knee against the Miami Dolphins on October 18 on an illegal hit. He has fumbled 10 times.
The Patriots quarterback spoke with a local radio station to analyze the victory over the Titans. “The touchdown run on the screen, I mean, from what I saw there wasn’t much there, and then he was so patient to see things open up and then took advantage when the hole finally did open, accelerated through there and got in the end zone”.
Second-year quarterback Zach Mettenberger will start in his place. Chris Mortensen of ESPN said he has a sprained MCL, the same injury he had earlier this year that cost him some time.
The Patriots added rookie running back Joey Iosefa from the practice squad later in the week and he led the team with 14 carries and 51 yards on Sunday – and this next man up thing continues to work.
The 33 points on the scoreboard give the impression that the Patriots played a solid offensive game; but in reality the team scored only two offensive touchdowns, neither of which came in the final 40 minutes of the game.
“Yeah, I think we’ve got to be efficient and find different ways to get everybody the ball who’s out there”, Brady said.
As Andy Dalton watched from the sideline with a large cast over his broken right thumb, McCarron threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Kroft just before halftime as the Bengals (11-3) forced three second-quarter turnovers by San Francisco (4-10) to take command.
Afterward, Mularkey said the Titans discussed putting Mariota back in, but made a decision to err on the side of caution.
Brady only threw five second half passes more than 15-yards down the field, and all of them were directed towards Gronkowski (0/3) or wide receiver Brandon LaFell (2/2 for 49 yards and a bonus 15-yards Unnecessary Roughness). Running back Antonio Andrews missed his blocking assignment on the play. He left the field favoring his knee, and went to the locker room to be evaluated by New England’s medical staff. You could be out there one play or you could be out there 60 plays. He has started eight games in his two National Football League seasons. Mariota said he doesn’t expect to miss the rest of the season.
“He’s experienced a lot for a rookie”.
“Chandler had that great play and I was just trying to finish it for us”, Hicks said. “He’s gone through what most guys won’t do for years; he’s had it in his rookie year”.
The Patriots finished a 7-1 home season and clinched a first-round playoff bye.

“There’s nothing like game experience”, Mularkey said.
