Winter weather advisory issued for Luzerne, Lackawanna counties
The National Weather Service has a Freezing Rain Advisory for McLean County on Monday.

A Winter Weather Advisory is issued when snow and/or ice is forecast to develop in the affected areas…but accumulations are expected to be light. The precipitation will then change to freezing rain by midnight, but temperatures are expected to climb above freezing overnight and put an end to the ice.
A Freezing Rain Advistory is in effect until noon, while Woodford County and counties to the north and west are under a Winter Storm Warning until 3 p.m.
Periods of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will increase beginning Sunday afternoon, and especially Sunday night. The main impact could be ice accumulation up to a quarter of an inch, as well as eastern winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour possible.
More rain is in the forecast for Tuesday morning, which will be mostly cloudy after the rain clears out around 1 p.m. Tuesday will see a high of 49 and a low of 37.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected for a quiet day today, with a high only reach 36.
Wednesday will be partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of rain.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. Wausau in central Wisconsin could receive 4 to 6 inches of snowfall through Monday afternoon.
