A Palestinian stabbed an Israeli soldier with a kitchen knife in Jerusalem today, wounding him moderately before he was arrested, police said.
The media added that earlier in the day, four Palestinians have been detained while one Israeli soldier has been injured in four similar incidents.
Later, the army said a Palestinian injured a soldier in the West Bank by hitting him with his auto before himself being shot, but a witness said the man had not attacked anyone before he was hit.
Two Palestinians died Friday, including a woman Israeli police say attempted to ram Israeli forces in the West Bank, and a man who was shot by troops in clashes in the Gaza Strip.
Last week, the forces shot and killed a 15-year-old from the Nablus-area village of Beit Furik after he reportedly drew a knife on soldiers at the Huwwara checkpoint.
The soldier, 21, was in moderate but stable condition with a stab wound to his upper body.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, the Israeli military said a Palestinian motorist rammed his auto into a checkpoint on Saturday and lightly wounded a soldier stationed there.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has voiced concerns over the excessive use of force and “extrajudicial killing” of Palestinians by Israeli forces.

Twenty-one Israelis and one USA citizen were killed since the start of the current wave of violence in October, in lone wolf stabbing, vehicular and shooting attacks perpetrated by Palestinians. The Palestinians say it is rooted in frustrations stemming from almost five decades of Israeli occupation.
