“Storm Could Bring 10” of Snow 28 Dec 15
Travel is not recommended tomorrow afternoon or night. Some parts of the region will see some lake-effect snow towards the end of the week, as well as a couple clippers, or compact storms, that will bring a general snowfall to the area.

Monday’s forecast for the Portland area includes the possibility of showers but no snow, according to the National Weather Service.
On Sunday afternoon, a Winter Weather Advisory was issued for all of CT minus the immediate CT coastline from Greenwich to New London.
By 6 p.m. we’ll see precipitation build its way in, which will most likely be rainfall closer to the lakefront, and icy accumulation farther west. The change over to plain rain is forecast for 6 a.m. Tuesday.
A half an inch of sleet and snow is possible tonight, and a thin layer of ice is possible with the freezing rain into the overnight hours.
For Hartford and Tolland counties: The weather advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m. because the sub-freezing temps will hold out longer there.
Monday will have snow and a slight chance of light freezing rain in the morning with snow in the afternoon.
