Thousands flee homes as United Kingdom hit by ‘unprecedented’ flooding
Military personnel were mobilised on Sunday to help people in Yorkshire and Lancashire and phone lines and internet connections have been disrupted.

The Environment Agency had 10 severe flood warnings in place Monday, signalling a “danger to life”, chiefly at points along major rivers in Yorkshire.
