Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins sacked Mariota for a loss of 8, and the quarterback just sort of crumbled in an awkward heap.

Tennessee quarterback Marcus Mariota has a sprained MCL in his right knee that will keep the rookie out of Sunday’s home finale with Houston. He started two games earlier this season, against Atlanta and at Houston, when Mariota was recovering from the left knee injury.
Mariota ends his rookie season with solid numbers, though his protection leaves more than a little to be desired.
The Patriots lost yet another receiver in the game, when Danny Amendola went out in the first half with a knee injury.
Mularkey refuted several media reports that said Mariota is out for the season.
With LeGarrette Blount and Dion Lewis on injured reserve, the expectation was that the Patriots would turn to Brandon Bolden and James White to carry a heavier load in the running game. He has, however, been sacked 38 times, tied for fourth-most in the league. He was 3-6 for 33 yards before leaving the game due to his knee injury.
Titans rookie center Andy Gallik was replaced by Joe Looney, a change that may stick for the game against the Texans. The former St. Louis first-round pick is a three-time Pro Bowler who notched eight straight 1,000-yard seasons from 2005-12 for the Rams. His touchdown reception came on a screen pass where he waited for his blocks for develop before breaking into the clear and dashing into the end zone for the TD that put the Patriots in front 21-3 in the second quarter.
-S Da’Norris Searcy (hamstring) is still being treated for a hamstring injury, but could be able to return and play Sunday. Gostkowski missed just his second field goal attempt of the season and his first from inside of 50 yards…. Mike Kafka, signed to the practice squad last week, is the only other quarterback on the roster.
“He did some really good things, there’s some things I know he’d like to take back and he’s got to quit doing trying to force some of the deeper throws when they’re not there”, Mularkey said of Mettenberger.
Sunday’s dominance started early, with the Patriots forcing a three and out on Tennessee’s first offensive possession of the day and responding with an 79-yard drive, capped by a five yard touchdown pass from Brady to Rob Gronkowski.

“There’s a lot of risk/reward as you get into the second half and you have a a pretty big lead”, Brady said. Mariota’s first game back from injury was his second-best of the season, a four-touchdown outing in a win over the Saints.
