Numerous flights departing from Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus have been delayed or cancelled due to inclement winter weather moving through the central US and MI.
Few flights are still scheduled, but officials said they most likely will experience some delay.
By 11 a.m., O’Hare International Airport reported more than 320 flights were canceled and more than 85 flights were canceled at Midway Airport.
Delays and cancellations are above average at major hubs, including Los Angeles, Chicago and Denver. Most cancellations can be attributed to the icy conditions and flights not leaving Sunday night, according to officials. Southwest’s flight 4027, Delta’s 3968, American’s 4403 and United’s 1127 and 3528 all were cancelled this morning.
