David Spade: The Obama Family Is ‘Thirsty’ For Attention
Spade was referring to a special edition of the show Running Wild With Bear Grylls, (not “Grills” but I digress) in which President Barack Obama visits Alaska to witness, first hand, the effects of climate change. “It just sounds weird to me, you know?”

“A president should have a little more dignity …”
David Spade has blasted Barack Obama & his spouse Michelle for his or her appearances on TV shows. Admitting that indeed it is a “new world” we’re living in, in which the lines between politician and entertainer are routinely blurred, Spade admitted he doesn’t feel comfortable with how much the Obama family has played in the spotlight, saying it seemed tacky and “thirsty”. Spade says in a video posted on Sunday.
“I realize that Woodrow Wilson went on “Dancing With The Stars” once”, Spade quipped. It’s just – I’m not used to it, and they’re out.
“What president does reality shows?”
Missed Obama’s Running Wild appearance? “When he’s trying to get in the mix like, ‘I want to present at the MTV Awards, ‘ alright, guy, relax, you got it”, David told TMZ in a lengthy tirade.
Obama has another appearance in the limelight already scheduled. The episode consists of the men taking turns driving a silver blue 1963 Corvette Stingray Split Window Coupe around the White House grounds before retiring to a staff dining room in the basement for coffee and a chat.

We’re not sure how someone who starred in two “Joe Dirt” movies earns the right to lecture anyone about dignity. Spade also slammed Obama’s GQ magazine covers.
