Chelsea can still climb Premier League table – Thibaut Courtois
As Guus Hiddink completed a deal to return to Chelsea as manager until the end of the season, Mourinho was watching a second-tier match between Brighton and Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Interim Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink admits that he would be keen to bring Didier Drogba back to the club in some capacity.
“Obviously, the results (wins) that we’ve achieved have all been (underpinned) by three clean sheets”.
Beginning this season, Mourinho’s “favourite” players had been uncharacteristically below-par and many thought it was beyond the ordinary what was faced with Chelsea.
His first priority will be to breathe life into Chelsea’s Premier League campaign after the champions lost nine of their first 16 matches this season – a calamitous run that ended with three-times title victor Mourinho’s dismissal on Thursday.
He said: “It was a good victory but questions should be asked about why they can go out now and win 3-1 but played like a load of Christmas turkeys under Jose”.
Meanwhile, Diego Simeone is Chelsea’s number one target to permanently replace Jose Mourinho as manager at Stamford Bridge. Hiddink’s last job with Holland was not a success, so the 69-year-old is keen to fix both personal and collective reputations at Stamford Bridge.
Former Barcelona midfielder Pedro insists Fabregas will prove his loyalty to the west London club as Chelsea bid to turn their poor league form on its head.
‘We are aware there have been rumours about player power at the club but I want to make it clear that is not the case.
“Please believe me when I say that the decision was made for no reason other than to do what we believe is in the best interests of this club. Any manager coming in now, they will move up the league, but I think they would have done that with Jose anyway”.

“We would like to get him involved”, Hiddink told Fox Sports. “It was a good performance and we needed that”, Courtois said.
