Hayne solid in return to 49ers
Hayne has not played since week six, having been moved down to the 49ers practice squad, but the running back was recalled on Saturday and could feature in their clash with the Detroit Lions.

Wide receiver Jerome Simpson won’t suit up for the 10th game this season; he was suspended the first six games, he sat out Week 7 as a roster exemption and now is inactive for the third time in six games.
But he was surprisingly waived by the Niners on Halloween.
Former rugby league player Jarryd Hayne is back on the active roster of the San Francisco 49ers.
The post Pregame report: Aussie Hayne suiting up; RT Brown making first start appeared first on 49ers Hot Read. “Two weeks ago, I literally took every single rep on the look squad”.
The NRL-turned-NFL star finished with 47-yards for the game and 9 carries for 27 yards as well as five receptions in the fourth quarter for 20 yards. “I’ll remain focused”, Hayne said after his first National Football League game since October.
Hayne had a good day even if he wasn’t the 49ers’ most productive ball carrier Sunday.
During warm up, I was told I was getting the first play and just run with it, Hayne said.
Instead, the 49ers kept him busy on offense.
The team already has lost starter Carlos Hyde (foot) and top backup Reggie Bush (knee) for the season.
The 49ers announced in the press box before the game that Gaskins or Harris would start, with Shaun Draughn ruled out because of a knee injury.

DuJuan Harris, signed five days earlier, had 11 carries for a team-high 73 yards and short-yardage specialist Kendall Gaskins had two carries for 12 yards. If not, they are likely to offer him a future/reserve contract that, if signed, also would make him a 49er when the new season gets underway.
