In the receiving end, Sims had 72 yards and one touchdown in three catches while Mike Evans added 61 yards in four receptions. Cam Newton was 17 of 30 on passes for 142 yards, but failed to throw a touchdown pass for the Panthers (14-1).

The company has been tapping into the hardware markets quite aggressively and this looks like their next move to promote the Windows 10 Mobile OS and the Microsoft Mobiles at large.

When asked about that option, Van Gaal responded, “that is something I speak to Ed Woodward about by himself – not with you”. A weak back header from Memphis Depay enabled Glen Johnson to tee up Bojan Krkic for the Potters’ opener in the 19th minute.

Capossela during the interview hinted that Microsoft might be working on a “Surface” branded smartphone.

The Microsoft Surface tablets series has been a runaway hit with customers and now, Microsoft may soon unveil the “Surface Phone”. This new product will be separate from Microsoft’s existing line of Lumia products, although Capossela refrained from identifying the new device as part of the Surface line either. The phone is likely to be powered by an Intel processor, that is much more powerful than recent Qualcomm offerings. We are yet to see what Microsoft has in store for us in 2016, but the prospects seem to be very bright.

The landscape has been rather sparse, and news even more sparse, so Mary Jo Foley very pointedly asked Capossela to “give me something to hope for in the new year as a Windows Phone fan, Chris, because I’m abandoning hope”.
