Backroad Anthem, a Northwest Arkansas band, is reporting that their lead singer Craig Strickland and friend Chase Morland are missing after duck hunting in Oklahoma Sunday.
Search and rescue efforts for Strickland were halted on Monday evening due to low visibility and weather, but are expected to continue Tuesday morning. The band shared a message to Facebook on Monday updating their fans and followers on Strickland’s situation. A post at the Backroad Anthem Facebook page reveals that Strickland’s father, Randy, contacted his bandmates about the 2AM hunt, telling them there had not been any contact for 24 hours.
PoncaCityNow.com reports that shortly after midnight on Monday, a capsized boat was located. One read of his Twitter profile shows that he likes to joke he married “up”, and that’s because she’s a former Miss Arkansas USA.
