Miss Phillipines Reveals She Hasn’t Spoken To Miss Colombia Since De-Crowning
“Miss Universe 2016!!!! What pride!” A message from Miss Universe 2015, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. Harvey said she’d be taking her first walk as Miss Universe, but mostly she stood immobile.

Harvey called for attention of the contestants, millions of TV viewers and hundreds of live audience.
Now, a source tells ET that Harvey missed a crucial part of the Miss Universe rehearsals.
Gutierrez was originally announced as the victor before host Steve Harvey admitted the 21-year-old Colombian beauty was actually the first runner-up.
According to the celebrity news site, competition between Colombia and the Philippines has always been fierce, and last Sunday’s blunder is expected to only deepen the rift between the two countries. She had no way to know if the comedian host was having fun at her expense.
“I can’t help but think of Ariadna”, Wurtzbach told ET’s Nischelle Turner, who asked if she’d spoken to Gutierrez after the chaos.
During a backstage interview, Riek, 23, expressed that she believed the crown belong to neither Miss Colombia nor Miss Philippines. However, others have been happy to say their piece about the controversy. It was my mistake.
“It’s a very non-traditional crowning moment, isn’t it?” she said in a conversation with Miss USA. “I was watching Miss Universe with my family and we even celebrated when we heard Colombia was going to be Miss Universe for the second year in a row”.
Steve Harvey took to Twitter to apologize Sunday night after a slip of the tongue resulted in the wrong woman being crowned Miss Universe. “It was an honest mistake”, she said, apologising on behalf of the organisation she now represents. “I am so so regretful”. But it would not be wrong to say that all these diversities would have gone unnoticed of Harvey has not committed the mistake. Am I really Miss Universe? Unfortunately, a live telecast means that human error can come into play.

Furthermore, following the announcement, some of the other contestants, including Miss Germany, could be seen comforting Miss Colombia and not congratulating Miss Philippines.
